About me and my practice
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Its a pleasure to tell you about myself. I am a qualified, accredited and registered, person-centred counsellor.
Building on my 25 years of experience as a communications professional, I am on a continual journey to engage with people to enable positive change. I have a level-4 diploma in therapeutic counselling, focused on person-centred, psychodynamic and integrative approaches.
My therapy practice is set in diverse community contexts. I offer a compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I welcome individuals from different socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds with openness and warmth.
Based on my experiences of living and working in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Jordan and the UK, I support my clients with a cross-cultural understanding. My approach is focused on connecting with my clients and harnessing their inner resources for healing and growth.
Experience
Building on my 25+ years of experience as a communications professional, I am on a continual journey to engage with people and enable positive change.
I have worked in multidisciplinary contexts in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Jordan and the UK. Based on these experiences and my language skills in English, Hindi, Urdu, Oriya and basic level Bengali and Thai, I support my clients with a cross-cultural understanding on various presenting issues . I have particular experience of working with anxiety, depression, abuse, bereavement, trauma and relationship issues.
Outside of private practice, I work as a therapist with a charity providing a range of services to homeless people.
Qualifications
I have a level-4 diploma in therapeutic counselling. I trained at the North West London Counselling and Training (NWLCT) and specialized in person-centred, psychodynamic and integrative approaches. I am accredited and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Earlier, in 1993 I obtained a masters degree in Physics from Nagpur University in India. After working for more than fifteen years, I got an additional qualification in Communications from Bangkok University in Thailand.

£60 per session for individuals and £70 for couples
